back from a week of crazy heat and humidity! didn't quite recall last year being this bad, but this year felt really just baaaaaaad. and my monthly tide came early, right smack into the start of the trip. Tokyo felt like this major steam cooker and i could really feel the heat being sucked up from the ground into some invisible hoover in the skies. most of the time i felt sluggish, drained and had little appetite for anything. lunch was still okay, but by the time it got to nightfall, all i could manage were junk food like ice-cream, beer and karaage chicken. things only got better when i left Tokyo and went to Osaka, which had perodic breezes of cool wind and cloudy skies.

anyway, the trip was still a blast. the two Takarazuka shows were totally worth the effort of making this trip! i loved the Moon Troupe's rendition of 1789 so much that i bought the dvd on the spot without hesitation hahahaa! so absolutely thriled that the Le Cinq for this show included the full script! can't wait to watch the dvd and relive every scene again, and write a proper entry dedicated to this awesome awesome musical that set me off for this trip!

equally surprised by how much i actually fell in love with Snow Troupe's play! initially i was kinda unsure, as it was a play set in olden Japan and i usually have to grapple with the language style used in perodic settings. but it was surprisingly simple, and the story was pure and beautiful and every scene gripped my heart completely. oh gosh i can't remember if i've cried this bad ever. during half-time, i spotted many, many faces with swollen eyes and a red nose lol. the revue, however, didn't rock my socks off like those by Star or Moon. i think revues just aren't quite a Snow Troupe thing, but their acting is truly rock-solid.

SuG's live was.... well sadly the new album just doesn't quite cut it for me, so i didn't feel as involved during the live until during encore, where they played their usual songs that i am more familiar with. but it was a great feeling to see them onstage again, and their maturity and stage presence certainly felt different from the past. most importantly, i could sense their unity as a band was stronger than before. it felt as if that the band direction was clearer and in focus, and everyone was working towards it. a really great feeling, so yeah breaking off from PSC and taking that one year break had certainly paid off for them! :')

yet unexpectedly, my shopping damage was incredibly minimal. to the point where i was walking around aimlessly at the outlet malls and not expecting to buy anything at all. maybe it was the heat that got to me. then again i hadn't been stingy with shopping on my previous trips and via online, so i guess i've truly outdone myself this time haha. crowning jewel was scoring a tsumori chisato long leather wallet for half price! my first tsumori chisato item, and omggg all the cat details are just too cute!

can't wait for the long weekend coming up. need all the time and peace at home to really get some major packing done up at home!
