woke up early today morning to try my luck for Hanagumi's open sale for Tokyo, total failure. by the time i got queued into the system 15mins after the sale began, the only date i wanted was sold out. definitely not crazy enough to go for a resale ticket, so probably i'd just pop by the theater to browse at goods. doubt i'd go queue for day tickets cos i'd rather use the time to fit in my hair appointment in the morning.
then i went back to nap abit more, and ended up skipping my kickboxing class. really worked my ass off this past two weeks, twelve days to be exact. instead of taking a break, the long Good Friday weekend was a daily ten-hour duty as interpretator/information staff at a travel fair, and i was totally washed-out by the end of the three-day event. but it was so much fun! the "remuneration" was pretty good, and i had so much fun conversing in Japanese with the local and Japan staff who flew over for the event. certainly wouldn't mind participating in such events again!
also met up with an ex-colleague dating back all the way from my semicon days, its been more than four years since we last met! as he used to moonlight as a property agent, i got loads of useful advice from him with regards to my current situation. in a nutshell, i found out that i do have a shot at resale flats, but with a few caveats. so after preliminary assessment, it'd still seem to be a better idea to stick to the two-room BTO plan, but i'd have to live with certain inconveniences such as further distance from train stations and less-developed amenities like wet markets and stuff.
and because i was such a good girl, i rewarded myself with a fashion mag buy at Kino, because Ueto Aya was on the cover and there're a couple of really interesting articles i wanted to read. sadly the freebie tote-bag fell short of expectations. it looked really nice on the mag cover, but the actual material was polyester and i am a stickler for canvas. the floral prints were pretty though, but i just can't quite get over the feel of the material. doubt it'd get used much before finding its way to the recycle bin.
fresh week of work ahead! taking leave on Friday to go pray for my grandmother's 49th day after her passing. it's really fast, isn't it? and i hadn't even started on getting the legal stuff worked out for my parents and myself! :O
