Froggy Loves Cream Puffs

After seeing Beard Papa's cream puffs mentioned a few times in customer restaurant reviews, one day in December I finally decided to give their choux pastry a try. After I brought some home, inspiration struck! Why not use them in a photo shoot with my little gourmand, Froggy? ;) Here's the result (layout may come out looking a little weird in older browsers):

Discovery!
"What's this now?"

"Ooh la la!"

"Time for a taste!"

"Looks like I'll need more than just a fork."

In case anyone is wondering why there's a lot of confectioner's sugar on the cream puffs, I added some extra since most of it had already dissolved by the time I decided to take the photos. I overestimated the amount I needed, and because I didn't want to put the excess back from the sieve I was using, I sprinkled all of it on there. (^^;) The cream puffs were pretty good, and I'm satisfied with having tried them once. For a while now I've had this other food-related photo shoot idea starring Froggy and using mini cannoli from Rocco's Pasty Shop in Greenwich Village, New York City as props. Their cannoli are really good, not that disgustingly sweet supermarket variety that could turn someone off for life, but it's been a few years since I've eaten them. I should go back to Rocco's one of these days and get working on that photo shoot. Isn't that a great excuse? XP

On a final note, to those in the US reading this, happy Independence Day, and I hope you enjoy the long weekend! :D
