crooked eye... resolved?

after all the commotion, i went to the eye doctor today. she said everyone's eyes wander at sometime, especially if you have one that's way better than the other. she examined me and determined i am a "classic monofixator" which is a good thing for me because people that do that rarely ever end up with that crazy eye business i was worried about. however, it also means i can't see those pseudo-3d things like movies and such. i wondered why that didn't seem to ever work for me.

also, if you do get a crazy eye, they do surgery on the muscle and that should fix it. so then my question was, why does anybody walk around with a crazy eye? because i see them all the time. the doctor said sometimes the surgery doesn't work, and then mentioned later that the surgery on adults was "messy" and had "poor results." and she said there are only a few people around that perform the surgery, but luckily one of them is at the cleveland clinic. so i'm not sure quite what to think, but at least it's unlikely that my eye will be any crazier than it ever has been.

but she also said i might consider getting my thyroid checked, because a suddenly weak eye muscle can be an indication of thyroid problems. weird, i was just talking about people having thyroid problems.

in reaction to all of this, today's icon is going to feature my breasts instead, which at least seem to be straight.

speaking of things that are nicely straight, did i write an ode to my dentist yet? i got my teeth cleaned last week and i think i forgot to do it...

my dentist is cool.
my dentist has heated leather vibrating chairs.
there is a paraffin wax hand dip for you to use.
the ceilings aren't random panels, they're back lit nature scenes for you to stare at.
they have heated rock pillows that they put under your neck.
there's a waterfall in the waiting room.
oh, and the fluoride comes in so many flavors it could make your head spin... raspberry, grape, orange, mint, strawberry, and more!
