Christmas Follow-Up

Dec 27, 2003 14:49

It was a surprisingly peaceful and pleasant holiday, for a change. Everyone seemed to like the gifts I bought, even Clem. I gave Faith her gift in private, as I wasn't sure how she'd react. She didn't say much. I'm hoping that means that she was pleased, since I've never known her to keep quiet when she's angry, but I'm honestly not sure.

As for me, well, it was certainly the most eclectic Christmas haul I've ever received.

Colleen was my secret santa. She got me a very nice leather-bound date book for 2004. That will come in handy.

A Blockbuster gift card from Buffy. That was very nice of her. I know she doesn't have a lot of money to spare.

An Amazon.com gift certificate from Willow. I have a few ideas about how to spend that, just have to make up my mind yet.

Dawn got me a gift certificate for something called Express. Apparently she thinks my wardrobe could use more denim. *chuckle*

Mr. Giles gave me a handsome leather-bound journal. Now I have someplace to put the thoughts that are a little too private to share here.

Faith gave me a book on achieving Zen. That may very well be the most personalized gift I've ever received. Should've known she'd come up with something that could make a diamond seem generic.

And then there was Xander. He gave these Boxing Robots. They're...amusing. I think I'll take them to work, put them on my desk. It might help give the kids the impression that I'm not such an old stick-in-the-mud.

All in all, a very nice holiday. Here's hoping that we all have many more of them.
