Black Widow - bad day anonymous November 7 2012, 20:35:55 UTC
I'd love just a traditional "bad day" (or "bad week") fic for Natasha - one of those times when Every. Single. Thing. seems to be go wrong. From the little, insignificant things (spilled coffee, bad hair day), to major things (getting injured, losing someone - though I don't want deathfic for canon characters).

She's strong, and used to being on her own for so long that her natural reaction is to just... keep trying to soldier on, figure that "this too shall pass", but this time, it's really getting to her. And then - Avengers to the rescue, in big ways or small. Just, general teamy caring for her, and helping her out, and her being surprised to realize that she does have people both willing to go to bat for her, and willing to just stick with her and support her even if there's nothing they can change. And, although the idea might scare her a bit at first - the potential of becoming attached to or even dependent on others - realizing that having a family is not a bad thing, and actually quite... nice ( ... )

None of the Avengers knows what a "normal high school experience" is. imbecamiel November 8 2012, 04:31:54 UTC
Inspired by the fact that - since I was homeschooled - I'm always at a loss when it comes to discussion of high school. My knowledge... pretty much comes from TV and movies. XP

Thinking about it, I realized that most of the Avengers probably had far from what would these days be considered a "normal" school experience. Thor - well, obviously, different planet and all. Steve went to school almost a century ago, and things've changed a bit since then. Natasha, whatever her precise backstory may turn out to be within movieverse canon, started as a spy when she was very, very young, and definitely had an unusual upbringing. I'm guessing Clint's schooling was pretty unconventional - the circus not being known for stability and normalcy ( ... )

Steve Fights Scammers nefhiriel November 9 2012, 17:43:07 UTC
I've seen a story or two where Steve doesn't understand when he's being scammed in emails...but what about a story where he totally gets what scammers are up to, and decided to Troll them, pretending to be taken in?

I just came across this conversation, over at 419eater, where a guy spambaits as "Steve Rogers." (The part where he talks about refusing to give up on enlisting, because he had "the heart of a million Rudys" particularly made my day. XD)

I would LOVE to see the a story with Steve actually leading on a scammer. :D

Avenger cats rosiepaw November 10 2012, 20:57:27 UTC
The Avengers adopt cats. Or maybe they're turned into cats. Anyway, there are cats.

Here's Thor/Thor's cat: http://thornews.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/norsk-skogkatt1.jpg?w=300&h=173 He is, of course, a Norwegian forest cat, AKA "a small puma."

What about the other Avengers?

Oh, I love it!

Heheh, we jokingly call one of our cats "Loki" - http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f132/Imbecamiel/Ella2.jpg (Unfortunately, it's not just that black fur and bright green-and-gold eyes - the trouble-making insanity carries through as well. :P)

Courage - Steve, Tony, or Ensemble anonymous December 5 2012, 20:57:15 UTC
"Courage is not simply one of the virtues but the form of every virtue at the testing point, which means at the point of highest reality."

- C.S. Lewis

Basically, I'd just like something based on this quote. I'd prefer if it were focused on Steve, Tony, or an ensemble piece, but I'm not particularly picky. It just seems really fitting.
