Tony can't seem to figure out how the adrenaline rush during sex triggers the other guy when it normally takes: pain/fear/anger to do it on any other occasion.
One of the random things that jumps into his head while he's either watching Bruce meditate or thinking about his daily destressing technics is tantric sex.
(No personal experience on it but) Basically he starts a hypothosis that because it's all about breathing and calming action during the process (and the fact that he's heard rumors that it can go on for days and the orgasms are beyond awesome) he offers the option to Bruce.
The main scientific standpoint he has is that it keeps the heartrate and adrenalin levels stable until the end, in which case he could throw a complete out of his ass assumption that the endorphin rush from release will stop the transformation from happening.
Bonus hugs if you throw in a Starkish line like "Come on, it's like meditating... but with SEX!"
Major points if there are a few 'false starts' in the story and total adoration if Bruce is WAY better at keeping it going than Tony realized
