OT6, getting to know each other's pasts. anonymous July 14 2012, 18:51:09 UTC
In an effort to get to know each other, the Avengers share their pasts. cue tales of their childhoods, worst memories, best memories etc etc.

I misread this as "getting to know each other's PANTS". Which would be a whole nother prompt...

Tony, there are no superheros anonymous July 14 2012, 18:51:57 UTC
Mini!Tony is running around as a kid in a Captain America costume. Howard is busy working at something, and Tony gets on his nerves a little too much. Howard snaps something along the lines of "There are no superheroes Tony. Grow up and stop believing in childish things."

Later we see Tony working on something technical, the costume crumpled and abandoned on the floor, because there's no such thing as superheroes.

I will love you forever if you fill this!

I can actually see this happening. That must be really sad. I hope this gets filled.

“Tony believed in technology. He believed that with technology, with science, the world didn’t need anything else. He didn’t believe in teenage dreams, didn’t believe in other people saving him. He believed in himself saving himself. To the very last day, he did that, so did his father. Although Tony has left us in a young age, he has left us with numerous reassurances that work far better than what we adults do when we try to convince our children that there are no monsters below their bed. We will remember you, Tony Stark ( ... )

[crossover?] Discworld, Steve as Carrot Ironfoundersson anonymous July 14 2012, 18:53:53 UTC
First comment!
Is it a crossover or a fusion?

Anyway, I want the Avengers as the Ankh-Morpork City Watch. Steve as Carrot, because that is far too perfect, and the others as whoever (although Fury would be PERFECT as Vetinari, and Coulson would make an excellent Vimes).
Day-in-the-life, casefic, character intro, get-together, I don't care, go wild.
Any pairing is fine, but I really love Steve/Tony.

Oh this prompt. I heart it something fierce.

I'm working on a fic right now, but I plan to write this. It might be a while, but it's coming, nonny.

Clint + Thor - Gen –Sign language anonymous July 14 2012, 18:54:39 UTC

Clint uses hearing aids which is something very few people, even within the team, know about. During a battle or some group outing Thor sees Clint waving his hands strangely at a group of people and doesn’t understand why. When he asks about it he realizes that the Allspeak doesn’t seem to stretch to sign language. Since Clint is Thor’s teammate he deems this unacceptable and becomes determined to learn sign language. It’s the first time he’s ever had to learn a new language and it doesn’t come easy.

+10 if someone give Thor the old Sesame Street learn to sign book.
+100 if Thor gets good at it then on some overseas thing realizes that all countries and languages have their own sign language and throws a fit.

If you manage to pull this off in the next 3 hours or so, I'll have you on my Rec List by midnight, GMT. I want to read this.

I don't know if I'll have it in three hours. I have some errands to run. But it will happen, I swear!

Natasha/All – Pregnancy anonymous July 14 2012, 18:55:32 UTC

Natasha is a bit older than she looks and was told years earlier that she couldn’t have children. Then a few weeks after the Avenger monthly orgy/team building exercise she starts to feel a bit funny. Now it’s a case of ‘who’s your daddy’.

+100 Steve offers to do the honorable thing and marry her without knowing if the baby is his.

Steve and Thor should have a stand-off about who should do the honourable thing...

Would it be the "honorable thing" in Asgardian society though? I don't remember anything along those lines from what stories I have come across and by the time he started learning about Midgard having a child out of wedlock had stopped being a bad thing in the eyes of most of society. I'm not saying he wouldn't offer if he thought it was, I'm just wondering whether an idea that is already on the decline here would even be on his radar.
