(no subject)
Greetings all,
I'm making an entry largely to say there's nothing new. Things are more or less running the same as usual. Which is fine with me, since the defualt is that things are good. I am glad.
I saw the Star Trek movie. I'm actually very pleased with it. I knew that it was a reboot of the franchise and that things would be different. I was braced for the possibility that J.J. Abrams was just going to make the movie he felt like doing, without respect to the larger continuity, and screw the Trekkies. I was pleasantly surprised: There's a perfectly valid explanation provided within the movie that justifies the fact that things will be different. I'm rather glad for that, as I am a late-in-life Trekkie. For the record: I've seen a few episodes here and there of ToS. I've seen the entirety of TnG. I'm currently watching DS9 in order and I'll be wrapping up season 6 soon.
NO SPOILERS!!!
Game-wise, I find myself playing Civilization: Call to Power and Nethack. We'll see what other games assert themselves, I cycle through somewhat quickly.
