holiday
So the last two weeks have been pretty cool. The Panama trip was postponed until January, which kind of sucks, but on the bright side, when we do go, we'll get two weeks there instead of just one (nearly half of which would be spent traveling).
My brother A.J. came out to visit for a week, and that was pretty cool. We went to Seaside, OR and hung out for a couple days, then came back up to Whidbey Island. We did a little fishing and a crawfish boil, which turned out great. One of these days I'll get around to formatting and uploading pictures and post here. I'm amazed at how many of you folks keep up with that. Mandy's Dad is out visiting right now, and that's been pretty cool too. We went fishing (caught my first fish in ten years, actually I caught five and landed three (one took my hook about two feet from shore, and the other jumped out of the net right after we had him unhooked). We also checked out another local state park where there was a lighthouse and an old artillery battery. The other day we went down to Tacoma to see the Glass Museum, which was very interesting, but also a little underwhelming. I thought there'd be a little more to it, but it was still cool considering the price. After that we went over to Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. I hadn't been there in about fifteen years, and it was a pretty good time. I got a couple of decent pictures there too.
I'll go ahead and see about putting up one of my favorite photos from the last couple of weeks right now...
