Actually, that scene and most of Northern Exposure was filmed in Roslyn, which is clear in central washington anyways. Cicely, Alaska, doesn't exist. Sorry dears.
I remember going to the S'kallam museum and how their two huge canoes were used to film several boat scenes in the show.
You know, I do not really know why I watched this show with my mum when I was just a little lass. Oh, now I know, I did for all of Chris' existential rantings. Though, he was more of an absurdist anyways.
Gah, I miss it. There are a few episodes on Youtube, but they are narrated in spanish. I'm just going to buy the damn dvd set and get it over with, so when I have to move somewhere else, and I become fir tree lonely, I can sit down and think:
" It's a marvellous night for a moondance".
Indeed.
