http://www.outofservice.com/music-personality-test/results/?complex=94&edgy=17&fun=0&energetic=18 Yep, I like Blues and Jazz a lot. Classical too. Then I am crazy for art rock and prog too. International or world music I love as well. In general, I like a wide spectrum. Though, you all knew about this.
Anyways, just so you don't think i've disappeared or died and such, I've just been busy with school. It does that to you.
I really need to get around to reading Good Omens. It is sneaking up on me when I am reading Joyce. Plus, Gailman and Pratchett... mmmm.
Besides that, family has been okay, then again, I know it can be worse.
I found french class this morning wonderfully delectable. I don't know why, but I zipped through it. Also, I have been wondering when I will put my french to good use. I can use it when talking to Karan, I know he's taking french, but then again he finds it annoying. So, that really doesn't work out. It is enoyable, but not much past just using my street-jargon french, or that wonderful Canadian invention, Fringlish.
Rachel, you of course have been ma amie en francais, and Autumn you too. I still have to plan out the french part of your trip, I just don't think Karan will want to even touch that, so, I said I'll do it.
Would it be cool if we could just by pass Paris? I know, I know, there are things of 'you have to see once value', but, mayve we can squeeze those in too. I mainly want to focus well outside of there in helping you two plan, because I know you both wanted something that was more, well, french, to be frank.
I dunno, maybe I'll be able to hang out somewhere at least once, and put all of this study to good use, because I know grasping czech or slovak is going to be a life-long process. Though, I randomly will have czech words juxtaposed within a french sentence, or when I'm studying both within the same day.
I need to really avoid doing that, I almost found myself saying 'Est-ce que vous rosumite?' Which is just rather redundant, person as subject wise.
(Rosumite means, 'Do you understand?', and is non-formal, and 'vous' is well, you know already, plus you+prep.+you again just makes no sense...).
Then, there is that stupid phrase I keep stumbling over in czech: Je se ma vase rodina? (If I had the accent marks, you'd understand better, more likely...).
Where the accent marks in the last two words are not even pronounced, they are randomly slurred as if you are going to fall asleep. So it sounds like:
"Jak say ma va sidnoodnaa..." *zzzz*. I well as hell know 's' with an accent arrow facing downwards is not soft, it sounds like: "shk".
So much for asking how someone's family is...
okay well, enough of language ranting. See you all soon, i'm off to probably try and study and go sleep.
