I'm experimenting once again with vocal patterns trying to find something of my own. I came accross something I liked tonight that in retrospect is closest to Opeth's 'Damnation' cd (where the growler uses soft, clean vocals) - though I haven't listened to the cd for several months. As I say this I am listening to mine again, no they really don't sound alike. Maybe more of a mix between his vocals and Vibeke's from Ashe's - they being my original inspiration. So bassicaly it's an *attempt* at a soft, melodic, haunting, clean male vocal pattern. Something I, personally haven't heard. I think I'm going to try and figure out garabe band so I can put some kind of music in the background. That would be a cool mix of creative stuff. Song writing + singing + noice making...maybe I can make the Mischa's cat meow along?
Delight.
I am also back for the weekend in Ottawa again (Jason, Wil, Martin I will attending your party - is there any space left on couches or should I bring a sleeping bag?)
My exams sucked this week. Both are on the cusp of failing. Hopefully they'll land on the right side.
Christmass is definantly a two-fold event as always. What's new:
1) Stress of a new family-integration Christmass [dad's wife by then's family]
2) Mother dealing with this altercation
BUT other side
1) Endearing quality of a nice, 'cozy', family meal / time - well 2 I guees....(even if I am backing the yule log for Christmass Eve). *knocking on wood*.
2) I'm actualy looking forward to baking the yule log, my only other baking thing worked out :) [my mothers Birthday cake].
Mathmatically they cancel each other out..but I'm sure there will be more variables come next week, and more I'm too lazt to write. SO lazy infact.
*edit*
3) Getting 'politely' drunk on Christmass Eve and stoned later that night with Jeremy (brother) and playing video games to release any pent up dinnner angst (Y).
Also my msn is broken, that's why I orginally came on here. There was also a reason that was relevant, that is also cognitively absent. Speaking of which I poured (not spilt) sugar into a garbage can instead of my cofee. Clearly the fun fact of this post.
