To quote Devotchka..that is exactly how I feel. I am so happy here! I love my job. I love this city! I am at work now, gotta love being able to write from here. My boss Towe (pronounced TOO-vay)is from Sweden and very good to work with. Today I we did 160 arrangements for the Hilton. Yahoo.
So much to say. So much has happened! This coming tuesday I get to meet Tori Amos and hopefully she'll let me henna her hands. How cool would that be! Her new album is excellent. So is her book. Also, the Dresden Dolls are coming, New Order and Kate Bush will have a new album soon. Holy shit! It;s been 10 years since the Red Shoes. The music scene here is so good. Tonite Im going to see Mutaytor(burning man freak show)with some burner friends after we drink some beers here at work to celebrate being done with Hilton madness.
I can hear the cable car bell...I work right down by the beach in North Beach where all the tourists go to ride the trolley.. I can see Coit tower and Washington Square. I can see the zig zag of Lombard street. I swear I saw Ed Harris drive down the street yesterday. All the neighbors continually stop in and bring us treats. There is Trader Joe's on the corner. Life is good.
I found out my brother is getting married the first week in June, same weekend as Synorgy, so I will be in town then for a week. I cant wait to visit and then leave again! How great! My mom wants me to do the flowers for the wedding so I can hit her up for a plane ticket too. Cool.
I am smoking less, walking more, dancing a little less,( it's EXPENSIVE here) eating better than ever and drinking colloital gold everyday. My body is liking it. My brain is not the dark place it has been in the past. I am feeling so much lighter due to finally, REALLY, being able to let things stay in the past where they belong. FINALLY!!! and it hasnt been as hard as I thought. Its actually been easy. Weird. Surprising.
The other discovery Ive made is that the Golden Gate Bridge is actually a magical portal and when one makes an puts out an intention while crossing it, IT WORKS!!! I am amazed. I know that is how I came by this perfect job. This place is super charging me and opening me up in ways I never have been before. Living by the ocean has always been a dream of mine and I am so happy that I am finally realizing and living it. This is what life is all about.
