Sleep is a wonderful thing!

So last Saturday we went shopping for a new mattress set. We knew we wanted two things: A)queen size, B)something as firm as my mattress at home. I had called my mother to see what type of mattress I had been sleeping on at home, and then came to find out that the company only sells the mattresses up north. (I think I now understand what the problem is with people down here, they don't get a good night's sleep.) Being only slightly discouraged, we went off to check out the local mattress stores near the mall and found some wonderful help and the perfect mattress set at the first store we visited. Really it helps knowing what you're looking for and what you're willing to spend. The gentleman, Chris, that helped us was very good at listening to his customers. We explained what we were looking for, the brand of mattress I had up north, and what we felt the pros and cons were of other mattresses made of foam and full of air. He led us to some mattresses to try, even showing us the configuration of the coils inside. The first mattress was definitely too soft, even if it was labeled firm. The second mattress was exactly what we were looking for though and felt almost exactly like my mattress from home. It came down to pricing eventually, and when they offered free delivery and removal of our old mattresses we decided it was a good buy. The mattresses were even delivered the exact same night. So far no problems with the mattresses at all, and we both seem to be sleeping deeper. I'm glad I no longer wake up four or five times a night. I do on the other had feel I need a ladder to get into bed, but it all works out in the end.
