Oh Avengers, you've utterly destroyed everything. (read: this fandom has eaten up my soul)
And my honeybunches of oats, Loki, there are so many good fics about you.
This FST originally started when I realized that some of my constant background music for this heartbreaking amazing story would make a good soundtrack. And I was pleasantly surprised when I started looking up lyrics and found that they suited the plot and characters as well.
So here’s my little tribute to one of the best stories I’ve read in a looong time.
LINK TO EIDOLON ON AO3 ***
In The Longest of Nights- an Eidolon FST
The Knife * Marble House
(a prince is born to Laufey)
I cut your nails
And comb your hair
I carry you
Down the stairs
Snow White and the Huntsman OST * Warriors on the Beach
(Helbindi and Loki fleeing to the temple)
Kent * Let Dem Komma (Let Them Come)
(Loki proves his worth)
I am prepared
Just let them come now
I am here, let them come now
I am cruel like a Greek God
Fever Ray * Now’s The Only Time I Know
(The reviving of Jotunheim)
Early morning's
Greatest deed
What's forsaken
I do not need
There is water
There is snow
Mum * Weeping Rock, Rock
(Laufey’s love for his son)
In the longest of nights
Stir him at your breast
In silence - row him, row him
Junior Boys * Double Shadow
(Loki)
you luck charmer
you black diamond
you next kin
you lost twin
Tarkan * Adimi Kalbine Yaz (Write My Name Across Your Heart)
(Thor)
There’s no news of you
Nor a word of hello comes anymore
Or has my place been taken?
Have the flowers of love I’ve sown your way
Withered away forgotten?
Game of Thrones Season 2 OST * Winterfell
(Jotunheim)
Bonus:
Amr Diab * Wala Ala Baloh (It’s Not On Her Mind)
(Thor and Loki)
It's enough that it's been a day and a night,
That she has been on my mind, and I can't sleep at night.
And many nights I think of her, and long for her, but she has no clue.
DOWNLOADComments are much loved!
PS: I know most of my LJ friends aren't in the Thor fandom, but I'm actually really proud of this mix. (I always think my fic fst's are always much more focused) And if you're curious to hear a weird combo of orchestral, Turkish pop and Scandinavian experimental, then give this a try. XD;
