I've retained some for sentimental value, but have placed them on private so that no poor soul would have to read the shit I used to write

On a whim, I decided to venture on to lj, and I am just so happy I did. It's really great to hear from you. Currently very jealous of your california trip, bc it's cold and snowy as heck here :( I'm glad we've kept in touch (sort of, does sporadic whatsapp messages count? at least it was enough that you didn't forget who I was hahah). It's amazing that I've known you for so long. I mean, I was applying to uni around the time I met you, how strange it is to see you go through it. Best of luck with your applications, although at this point the hard part is over, and next is just waiting. I hope you end up somewhere amazing and make the most of uni.

Please lets roll in the 2012 nostalgia forever. Sometimes I happen upon old documents and conversations (that i've screencapped for sentimental purpose oops) and I just kind of fall into a puddle of emotions and residual embarrassment. I was pretty much over kpop for quite a while now, but lately, as of December, I've kind of fallen back in (it's terrible bc everyone is younger than me and I'm not even that old).

Haven't fallen into anything new, pretty much just old fandoms like f(x) and shinee. But then again I didn't have the time to catch up with their shows so I don't think I've fallen THAT deep.

how was the infinite concert!!! i've never been to a kpop concert, just english singers like ellie goulding. i'm going to see bastille this friday! the bastille concert is a general admission one though, i don't know how early i have to be there to get a good standing spot lol

yeah i really like mailing stuff too but i'm quite bad at mailing them in time for events like valentines day oops.

tbh even when i was really into kpop a few years ago i never had the energy to keep up with all the shows. there are just so many! and tumblr gifs tell you all you need to know.

it was fun! we got front row balcony tickets (which were cheaper than floor tickets) and so we didn't have to wait in line all day to get a good spot. so had the day to explore nyc. it was fun. oooh i'm not sure. probably pretty early since bastille is pretty popular. yay concerts are exciting i haven't gone to one since summer :(

haahah me too. mostly because for international shipping you have to plan ahead like 3 weeks and i can't even plan ahead 3 hours.

I don't like working either because you have to be nice to people all the time. I think if I get a desk job I'll end up surfing the net at work bcos I get very distracted whenever there's internet connection. a lot of my friends are already working but i've yet to find one that actually enjoys their job lul. but ia money is very good!! i would tutor kids because that's a very profitable industry in my country, but kids annoy the hell out of me

god damn it by the time I get to college you're gonna be graduating soon :| are you planning to study more after that? or like go into working world sobs

how's dorm living. i'm sure no one will judge you if you keep those pictures up. i think the good thing about college is that you can choose your class schedule so you won't need to wake at 6am. now that i'm not in school anymore i've been getting up at 9 which is still quite early lol

yes work is definitely good for pretending to be busy but actually reading hp fic instead. that was me in my summer internship tbqh. i hope you find something relaxing so you can just chill. tutoring kids is nice? sometimes? i did that after hs graduation (i've probably talked to you about that) mostly i just enjoy editing other people's essays. its seriously so much fun and i'm kind of rly mean.

i know :( i'll be in my last year. it's terrifying to think about. bc i have no clue what i'm doing. like literally i'm still like "should i do STEM? should i go to history grad school?" like TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS. so yeah no clue.

lmao i don't consider myself to be a people person. i'm terrified of making new friends tbh because i tend to babble a lot of bullshit to avoid awkward silence. like "haha the weather sucks" and other lame things. or i pretty much just pretend to be looking at things on my phone :/ i can't stand kids so if i have to tutor someone, he/she would have to be a teenager. but i am also afraid that they would ask me a question i cannot answer!!

oh you like history? i've only had a bad impression of history from when i used to take it as a subject in middle school. hahaha it was traumatizing because i had to memorize and recall facts about china and qin shi huang etc. remember when you used to be really into san guo? are you still.... hahahaha

yesss i love history. mostly i have a thing for medieval europe and religions. yeahhh history wasn't that fun when it was just memorizing dates and facts. i think it gets really interesting when you look at the whys and at how historians have chosen to record and consider history. blah i could babble on. pls impart your chinese history knowledge on my. literally all i know about chinese history comes from historical dramas (SANGUO) YES I AM STILL INTO SANGUO DID YOU KNOW THEY'RE MAKING A NEW DRAMA ABOUT ZHAO YUN. no one ever wants to talk to me about san guo.

yeah being sexiled was unpleasant. the dorms and food are all mediocre. we got stuck in the "party" dorm, so there's a lot of annoying people doing annoying things in the hallways. yeahhh you're going to complain about the rice. idk they have "asian" food here and "asian" rice, but it just doesn't taste the same. i can't quite describe but you just know. it's not as 香?

no pls no running i dislike running. yeah at least i don't have to take the shuttle. but we'll see. this term my earliest is 9. which makes me sad still.

nothing has happened on my break so far. i did go for the bastille concert but went alone because my friend bailed on me like 8 hours before the concert. i made new friends at the concert but they were super into bastille. like i don't even know the members' names and what not and one girl was like "let's quiz each other on bastille facts!!!". also the line for the concert started at like 2pm. wtf. but i managed to cut the line because i knew someone HAHA so i got a great place near the stage.

tbh i forgot everything i learnt about chinese history. I also only learnt about a short time period and i couldn't even remember that LOL. So actually I have never read san guo and don't know what the story is about... (don't kill me). but i am very interested to hear about it

YES! I did watch it in like one sitting LOL. 20th century music gives me a lot of happy feelings!!! I like how the show has a balance of cutesy stuff and creepy stuff. It reminds me of gravity falls. I think I cried at the ending of Over the Garden Wall. Starting crying when wirt cried and cried when they were in the ambulance etc.

dorm life doesn't sound any fun... I don't party, I just sit in my room and decompose mostly. Is the rice like... stale? It's not just burgers at meals right haha
