fun in the sun
Pretty good week so far, other than the cursed shots I got at the doctor's today. Boo. Because I'm living in the dorms, it's recommended that all the students get the menangitis vaccine. So I got that...and it hurt. =(. I'm such a weenie when it comes to needles, though. My doctor also said I should get the Hepatitis A shot too, so both my arms are a little sore now. I can't work out apparently either, because the shots might make me a little sick. Boo.
Working for my Dad is easy. All I do is answer the phone and do a bunch of filing and copying. Very cool. And it's nice and air conditioned. Quitting the smoothie shack was a good idea, as I'm getting paid more at my Dad's office and it's a lot easier. The people are nicer too. My Dad's other secretary is awesome to chat with. Usually I sit at a desk and do word searches and catch up on my X-Men comics, answer the phone, file for a few hours, and I go home. Yay!
We went shopping at Target the other day for stuff, and I looked at the bedding section for sheets and stuff for the dorms. My parents are being really nice, letting me get new sheets and blankets for my room. Maybe it's the fact that they are finally talking to a therapist about their fights. Thank God. Things are so much better at home now. No fights for nearly a month. It's a total relief for me, my brother, and the dogs. I saw the cutest Hello Kitty sheets there. Normally I detest anything pink, but these were too cool. They were light pink sheets with Hello Kitty angels printed all over. And it came with a matching Hello Kitty pillow, that was the size of my dog. It was HUGE. And soft, verrrrry soft. It'd almost be worth putting up with all the weird looks, just to have that awesome pillow. Teehee. I wanted X-Men sheets, though. That'd be cool.
