Do Nothing Monday

Today I decided to hide from life
and the chaos of the outside
I sat around and swam
in distant thoughts and memories
and lived a few of them over again

And you were there too
it was just like I remembered
except that now were both dead
because time left us behind
and we decided not to catch up

Sometimes I wonder what is real
what is a dream worth dreaming
if it can give you more pain than you
could care to deal with
and yet I welcome those feelings
each and every
