In The Zone

I am so psyched for the Holidays this year that I even listened to some Christmas music yesterday while I was wrapping presents. I typically have limited tolerance for Christmas music. I want to scream when I hear it piped into stores! But, mixed in with Santana (Santa, Santana, get it?) it was fun.

I was inspired by two project ideas which I managed to execute with time to spare. I hope people are pleased since just about everyone on my list is getting something home made. The factory that was on my dining room table has been transformed into wrap central. I mailed off 6 boxes packed with gifts this morning (Illinois, California, Washington.) This evening I'm meeting Bob to do a little more shopping. Just a little.

I didn't know if we'd do a tree this year, but then I had the idea to do a theme - Red, White & Blue, Damn I'm Proud to Be an American! It's been a long long long long time since I've felt that. I remember being in Portugal immediately after Bush invaded Iraq, caught in the middle of a huge anti-war demonstration, hoping and praying that no one would recognize us as Americans. Now I hold my head high, and will do my tree in red white & blue! Sherry told me that's the White House theme as well which I'm trying not to let take some of the zing out of it for me.
