Woah - American Idol related
I'm really surprised at who went home this week. I don't disagree, of course, as I thought that person should be in the bottom three. However, I'm still surprised.
Kellie Pickler's dreams of being the American Idol are now history. She had two very bad weeks, and finally she's been sent home. As I said, I'm not surprised, and I certainly do not disagree with the decision.
However, I do disagree with Kat and Chris being the top two. Yuck! Come on, people, Kat's high notes are excruciating. She has a pretty voice when she sings in her range, but she's constantly going for power notes that seriously hurt my ears. Chris.. no shock there. I hated his performance last night.. I hate that damn song. Personally I do not see that he's all that great, but it's obvious he's the one TPTB behind American Idol have chosen to be their star. The lighting and camera shots last night were done so special for him.. I believe they are trying to manipulate people into believing his was the best performance. It reminds me of Ruben in season 2... they chose him and all season long they gave him nicknames, used fancy lighting tricks, and quite frankly, pissed me off. No offense, Ruben fans, but Clay has the most beautiful voice, IMHO. Well, that's history.. but what they are doing with Chris just isn't fair. Yes, he can sing. Yes, he has a good voice. So does everyone else left in the competition. Let Taylor have some of those fancy lights and awesome camera shots, for once. Then let's see who's in the top two.
Speaking of which, Taylor and Elliot were the "middle two". Obviously, I thought they should've been the top two. Elliot won me over last night, and Taylor sounded amazing. I'm hoping like hell that enough people back Taylor to make him one of the final two instead of Chris and Kat. Honestly, if it's Chris and Kat, I'm not even going to watch. Blach.
Ok, that's enough of my opinions. I know some of you will disagree. That's cool, and I totally respect your right to do so. Every person has their own taste in music. That's what makes life interesting.
