How I've been

Jun 13, 2006 12:58

Not too much has been going on lately....but I figured that I should update as it's been almost a month since I wrote last, and to encourage my other LJ friends to do likewise (seriously people, it's so hard to stalk you all effectively in the summer when no one ever updates!! :-P)

Anyways, the big event recently was the Brian and Allie wedding (obv obv obv) which was a BLAST! It was so awesome (albeit a little weird) to see those two get married, so cool to sing at their wedding and definitely the most fun I've ever had at a wedding! Being at UD again was fun too....even though my first instinct was to drive up the 601 Irving driveway and to think "oh crap! I'm sure I'm behind on some homework assignment or lesson plan!" only to remind myself that UD was now just a "visiting" place. Ah well...it was definitely worth it to have the blast from the past (the past=one month ago, lol) and hang out w/ my UD family. In short, CONGRATS to Brian and Allie and yay for weddings and the fact that we get to do this all again soon :-D

Since returning from Dayton, I've mostly just been laying around sick. I got some sort of phantom stomach virus on Monday night, which I spent puking my guts out (sorry for the graphic wording), and then a migraine-esque headache that kept me up all night two nights after, pretty much draining me of energy for the rest of the week. It was kind of odd to be that sick, as I'm generally pretty healthy, surviving an entire semester of not sleeping or taking care of myself just to be sent to my deathbed while I'm on vacation. Whateva....I'm finally feeling back to normal (well as close to "normal" as I ever am ;-) and during that time I even managed to go to another interview at De La Salle high school, which I think went well enough--I'm down to their final list of candidates anyway!

Despite that, though, and being told by Everest Academy that they were also submitting my information to the board so that they could make me an official job offer, I have not heard from either school yet, which is quite frustrating. What is taking so long??? I'm trying to not lose patience and/or hope, chalking up the delays to the end of the schoolyear and other technicalities, but seriously....why does everything have to be a freaking test of patience?? Whatever....I could be a day away from hearing something finally and then I'll be laughing at myself for being so anxious about it all. I hope so anyway.

In other news, today is my sister Jessicá's 15th birthday....wé're all growing up so fast! *tear*...not really :-P :-) In other other news, being sick kept me from being on Rachel's and Sarah's backs about clothes piling up on the screen in our room....time to resume my crusade. Yeah, it's a slow news week, hahah! I'll write back when something earth-shattering happens....adios for now~~
