random
something that I didn't realize until today: I got entirely too used to always having my car available. Now that Rachel's working, our beloved "Carpe Viam" is confined to the parking lot of the Farmer Jack and I am confined to as far as my two legs will take me (which isn't anywhere interesting...gotta love the suburbs....) when the sudden urge to run an errand or go on a random drive hits me (which has a tendency to do a lot in the summer). I think today the annoyance is accentuated by the fact that I decided, instead of driving somewhere, to satisfy my antsiness by practicing guitar for the "GIFT" program tomorrow (catechism program at church, where I am going to be singing and playing guitar w/ the younger grades), only to realize that I had left my guitar in the trunk of my car after the last program.....so instead, I should probably work on unpacking, as my overflowing suitcases are both an eyesore and a safety hazard in my room....that's a good job to do w/ some good head-banging music.....too bad my "head-banging" CDs are all in the car....issue...actually, it's not; I'm just fixating on this randomly cause what am I if not slightly obsessive and random? ;-)
Jessica and Mary just got back from school....Mary in tears over a solo rehearsal gone not-so-well and bitchy middle school girl friends (her friends really are awful....poor baby....) and Jessica bursting w/ news of randomly receiving a free T-shirt...oh, and apparently one of Sarah's friends, who has been living alone and super stressed (mother up and went to Mexico or something....dunno all the details) had a breakdown at school and is coming over here for the weekend....poor girl...hopefully we can help her feel a bit better....we're always up for "adopting" another girl anyway ;-)
And some happy news--Everest Academy called me back today! They want me to come in for a second interview on Monday!! *does happy dance* Also, on Thursday I finally get to go down to Columbus to visit Simon, and then he's coming up for Memorial Day weekend *does another happy dance* So that's what's new w/ me....time to do something productive, despite being car-impaired and random....hasta luego~
