WV Trip (Finally got it up)
July 18, 2008
Day 1:
After a ¾ hr car drive we made it here all in one peace without the boys driving us totally insane. J After we dropped them off we went into town and ate at the Lodge where I had me a yummy BBQ sandwich with coleslaw and twisty fries. Roni tried the pizza burger and I have to say I must try that before we leave. LoL Afterwards we went out to their decking area where, for $.25 you can get this huge sandwich bag full of duck feed. They have huge signs all up and down the deck telling you to feed the ducks. It was amazing!!! There was totally like 15-20 some ducks waddling and flying and swimming over to eat. I was soooo in heaven!!! J And of course I have pics!
We have our room all cozy and home like with our pillows, blankies, pictures, snacks, drinks, laptops, basically the works. LoL Hopefully we have peaceful nights this year without green aliens or some trench coat wearing ghost man visiting us. : crossing fingers: It would be nicer though if our shower stall was a lil bigger. Roni and I are too tall to shower. Taking a shower tonight was quite the adventure I have to say. Almost tripped and fell in the lil thing multiple times and had to bend down every time I had to rinse my hair. Yeahhhh LoL
Went fishing with the boys today in the creek and I caught me a lil fish the first try. I’m skilled! Then later I caught me two at one time! I found my calling!! LoL Did all kinds of stuff today with the boys. Passing water balloons to see how long we can go without busting it, saving their soccer ball and my flip flops lil Ricky borrowed from the creek and almost busting my butt into it, attempted volleyball game (not to bad, lots of running and falling. Lol), swinging, making a fire with their dad and roasting smores, watching Roni and this other lil girl go back and forth to the creek with these water squirters putting out the fire, and playing with Roni’s cousin’s lil baby that is the most precious lil girl I have eva seen!! She’s a year and a half and just the smartest, cutest lil thing you will eva see. She’ll give you high 5’s, blow ya kisses, run with ya…..exciting lil girl I have to say. J
It’s been quite a day. Tomorrow it’s back into down to shop in the dollar store and other small places and who knows what else. Got the talent show that night where I will be a judge. It should be fun. J Well, sleepy town is calling. Night y’all.

Day 2:
We spent the day riding around the local towns checking out the views, the Observatory, the train station (where we had some yummy popcorn chicken and the not so friendliest waitress. Lol), and doing some shopping; got some nice souvenirs for my parents and my LewLew. A lil dream saying picture frame for the momma, train magnet for the daddy, and a cute moonshine shot glass and an ice lighter for my LewLew. J We almost got to go horseback riding, but the signs lied!!! We drove down the road where the sign said it was and after about 3 miles of the curviest, down slopping, one lane road I have ever been on, we really didn’t think we would come back up alive, we found nothing! We did find the trail after I drove my car down it and realized no cars were allowed and I had to back myself all the way back and I have to say I did a very good job. My LewLew would have been very proud. J But yah, I was not a very happy girl. I wanted to ride horsies!!! L But after getting ourselves blizzards though I got a lil better. LoL Also got to go back and feed the duckies. This time we went to the park side and i got in the water and sat on a rock and got them as close as i good. Got a momma and her babies pretty close. Roni got some very cute pics. :)
Saw some very cool bikes, it’s biker weekend, but one that stood out the most was this one where the guy said he built it from an old Volkswagen. It was pretty neat I have to say. Very comfortable looking. We also say this cool truck that was painted like the General Lee. Totally got a picture! Lewis will love it!! LoL Also found a rescue squad and got some more pictures for Lewis to see. And we finally saw a law enforcer, one SUV park ranger. One thing you have to love about this place. 55mph everywhere, lil traffic, and never a cop around. ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM!! LoL
The evening was a lil boring. Laid out in sun, read some book, colored my Lewis a picture, ate dinner, watched a two person comedy act talent show, forced myself to stay awake through an auction, and finally fire/smore time. Nothing eventful, just some good old relaxation.
Night time we were gonna go for a walk, but it was very dark and our flash light sucked! And after being scared almost to pee coming out due to a car we decided we needed extra company. Went to get her cousin Dave who is like 34 and he took us with him and her other cousin to the store so they could get beer. Hung with them at their cousin Jesse’s house watching wrestling and them being drunk and their dog trying to too. He loved that whiskey. Ha Ha We took some pictures and exchanged info to keep in touch and then we four headed back with me in the back praying to the heavens to get us back safely. I trusted Dave, but it was getting questionable. But man that man can back up. He drove up this gravel rode next to our camp road and realized it was a house up there and it’s a one lane road so backwards we go and here I am still alive!!! Thank you Jesus!!! Got back, raided the fridge in the kitchen, ate by the fire, and now it’s night night time. Yay!!!
It’s been exciting and a very beautiful place to chill in for these couple days, but I’m ready to head back to good old VA. A state where you can find more then just a DQ and a subway. Places like Chinese, Bojangles, McDonald’s, and etc etc. Ha Ha But yah, I’m exhausted. Night y’all.
