No begging of pardons is necessary - you are very welcome here and I always appreciate hearing others' opinions, whether they conflict or align with my own.

I assumed most people would be outraged at the implications, but no. All quiet on the Western Front.

Ah. I shared your bewilderment until it finally dawned on my why there has been nearly nil by way of female outrage. I will keep my mouth firmly shut, but if you are interested hearing the subject of my epiphany, as it were, on the matter, please feel free to send a PM.

As to the episode, when taken on the whole, I am in agreement with you that I did enjoy it, and will be likely to give it another watch, skipping over the few scenes that irked me beyond reason. It was even a fix-it, of sorts, for the ending of S3 E3, which I wholeheartedly despised. Everyone's characterization had lost that hardened edge, and I was helpless but have my heart clenched by Mycroft's brotherly concern. I was adamant I would not be watching S4, but now... I may reconsider, just won't go out of my way to see it.
