http://authorkuma-chan.livejournal.com/13092.html “I wonder where Kimuna ran off to,” Allegra said. It came out more like an afterthought than a true wondering. Maybe it had something to do with avoiding trap windows almost slapping you in the face. Yes, avoiding doors and watching people try to scare you made one of your best friends an afterthought.
“Out of this crazy house I bet,” Shu growled. Both sixteen-year olds just glanced at the next person who jumped out at them.
Why were they even in a cheesy haunted house wondering where Kimuna went? Allegra thought it'd be a funny experience and decided to bring her fellow trainers along, well Kimuna and Shu at least. Kimuna took the least convincing, she thought it'd be fun too. Shu took the most convincing. Why would he want to go through some haunted house? Allegra ended up begging for close to ten minutes before breaking him. As a thank you present she even promised to buy him Castelia Cones later on.
After convincing everyone to go inside everything appeared to be going along smoothly. Well, until they got inside. Turning the first corner resulted in Allegra bumping into Kimuna, who bumped into Shu, just to dodge a door flying open. The first “scare” looked around trying to find them. It then gave up and they passed by. The entire group was on edge just to avoid being knocked out by a door. The only reason Kimuna even ran off was because of Allegra. The normal-type trainer had gotten bored, so she innocently blew cold air on Kimuna's neck. Next thing Allegra and Shu knew they were without a Kimuna.
“I've seen toy stores that are scarier,” Allegra grumbled staring at a suppose to be creepy puppet. Really, this place had the lowest budget possible.
“Then why did you want to come in here?” Shu snapped. He did not enjoy all these things jumping out and slamming doors open at him. Maybe he had a slight phobia he'd never admit to! Allegra snicked at Shu's reaction, which resulted in him glaring at her.
Allegra smiled and linked her arm with his in one fluid motion. “If you're scared just say so! Wait, you don't even have to tell me. I can hear your heart beating. It's quite loud. You don't have to be scared though, I'm here!” Allegra cheered laughing. Curse her heightened hearing, and her normal-type. If she wasn't a normal-type he'd bet ghosts would scare her senseless.
“I'm not scared,” he growled pulling his arm from hers. Allegra sighed and placed her hands in the pockets of her jacket. Shu groaned and decided to focus on something else. Soon the swishing of her silver scarf caught his eyes. How could Allegra even wear a scarf when it wasn't that cold out?
“Fine, but when you run out screaming be sure to find Kimuna for me,” Allegra said. She smirked when he growled at her for even joking about that.
“It looks like two love birds are fighting,” came a bored voice. The duo turned to see two people dressed in bed sheets. They guessed they found some ghosts.
“Excuse me?” Allegra asked staring at them. The ghosts were just shaking their cloaked heads at them slowly.
“You love birds shouldn't fight in here, I mean haunted houses are supposed to get you cuddly,” continued the one who spoke earlier. Allegra and Shu both growled at the talking ghost. He just referred to them as what?
“We are not love birds!” They snapped. The poor ghost person then had to suffer purple and silver eyes glaring at him. Of course Shu's purples eyes held more danger, mainly because he would enjoy making this guy suffer.
“Sorry, I guess you're stuck in the friend zone then?” The ghost guy asked. Poor guy, he didn't value his life much did he? His shriek entered the air when Allegra's black heeled boot began to grind into his foot.
“I'm sorry, but aren't you not suppose to talk to people?” She asked with her voice full of danger. She did not need a stranger prying about, or reminding about, how pathetic her love life was. Shu smiled at Allegra's actions. Watching her get revenge on other people somehow always made him smile.
“Hey, let's go,” he finally said. After enjoying the feeling of revenge Shu grabbed her wrist and dragged her away from the ghost.
“Let's find the exit, I want Castelia Cones,” Allegra said while sighing. “Besides, I did promise some to you!” Allegra cheered. With a little maneuvering she intertwined her fingers with Shu's and began leading him. “Maybe we'll find Kimuna too. I should buy her some as an apology. I did scare her.”
Shu sighed. His current predicament was all because of that stupid ghost, not that he minded, but it was his fault. “I hate ghosts.”
