I'm kinda bored at my parents house. This doesn't feel like my house anymore. But my parents are cute. They both talk my ear off with just random everyday things they need to tell me.
Mom and I went to Target and did a little shopping. I haven't really had a desire to buy lots of stuff. Last month I spent $610 on sinus mutilation er surgery. That just felt terrible to spend money on something that hurt so bad. I'm still waiting to see if it has paid off. A few weeks out the pain in the bones of my face finally stopped hurting. Now all I have left in healing is really dry nostrils. I have to spray saline up my nose like every couple of hours and I have what I call a saline nose enema contraption I have to use every night for 10 nights. I'm on day 7 now. It's strange to get used to snorting water up my nose but I'm almost a pro now.
I didn't ask for anything for xmas from my folks. I almost asked for a really nice blender, but I didn't. My mom gave me some money last month to help with my bills. I ended up using most of it for the surgery. I also bought some clothes online, half of which I think I need to return. I have no clue what size I am anymore. I think I've lost weight recently. I didn't eat much during the recovery from the surgery. Did I mention before the roof of my mouth was sore? It's strange how much of my face hurt. My eye socket bones hurt too. Oh but my birthday is coming up February 4 so I'll ask for a blender for then. I have this idea that I want to make good smoothies with a blender all the time. Let's see if I really do it.
Devin was a brave fella and he came with me to SA for the xmas eve celebration. We went to my brother's house. They just bought a huge foosball table and Devin was cute and played with the kiddos. My niece got some expensive fancy hair flat iron and all the ladies were held up in her room so she could do their hair. She's 17 and seemed to really get a kick out of playing salon. They nicknamed it the Sex Pistols salon because of all her sex pistols posters on the wall. I was already sporting my straight hair so she didn't have to do mine. I was kind of scared to ask my mom if Devin could spend the night at our house but she asked me what we were going to do. She was worried because the weather was pretty cold and turns out the road to houston was not safe to drive on. She said he was welcome to stay over and I could sleep on the couch. Hey! Devin said sounded good to him. Heh. It's ok I like the couch better than that guest bed. My parents are so old tho, the house was about 85 degrees. You could sleep in the buff and still be sweaty in our house. I kept sneaking to the thermostat and lowering it all night and then my mom got upset with me in the morning. Teehee.
Devin took off for Houston early Christmas morning. Mom was most impressed by how neatly he made his bed. Since my mom's the compulsive neat freak, of course these are the things that would win her over. Good going Devin! :)
