So I got a job. La Quinta Front Desk attendant. I think I'm actually going to enjoy this job, mainly due to the good pay, nice people who already work there, long shifts (just cus I'm getting paid more and the time still melts away), and overall fairly friendly environment. A week before I leave the continent is a weird time to get a job, but I'm not complaining.

An observation- it seems to me that whenever I hear Chinese people conversing in Chinese there seems to be an immense deal of anger in the exchange. I'm not talking just volume, apparently there is no whispering in Chinese, but also in the tone. I had Chinese for lunch today, the universal lunch special in the stereotypical chinese place (that 2 rowed pictoral menu, 3 guys cooking in the back, one woman upfront taking orders, and that awesome list menu that seems to always include the never ordered "American" foods) and while I was eating my tasty pepper steak I think an argument broke out. But my perception could be false due to just the way the people in the resturant were talking. I could be mistaken and they might have been discussing who they think is going to get booted off American Idol this evening, but it sounded pretty heated.
