Bush Bowl

I do not wish to be disrespectful.... oh FUCK IT! yes I do... if you're in the public arena, you're responsible not to make an *arse/ass* of yourself right?

» George Dubb-a-ya Bush ~ bowling... cricket?  Late last week Mr Bush paid a visit to Pakistan ~ mighty brave (or stupid) if you ask me, because Pakistan is one of those muslim nations that represents the thin edge of the wedge... i.e.; a muslim nation aligned with the United States and her "allies".  While there, Bush provided some light comic relief for the locals in the form of a yanky-attempt at bowling in the commonwealth game of cricket.

There is so many things wrong with this picture/action that it's not worth considering... but it was the facial expression that probably made me piss-myself the hardest!

Actually... there was a cricket chant that was made up (I think somewhere in the late 1980's) when the Aussie and Kiwi cricket rivalry was at it's highest point - the Kiwi's have been somewhat left behind of late - when Richard Hadlee was bowling for them.  Now Hadlee was a fine bowler with a tremendously accurate ball (usually straight over middle & off stump) and an uncanny ability to remain accurate through a whole day of bowling... so the Aussie crowd devised a plan to put Hadlee off his game.  Each time he walked out to his bowling mark (the start of his run-up to bowl) the crowd would start chanting "Hadlee - the - wanker" *clap-clap - clap - clap-clap*.

What is it about this picture that made me think of that chant?

~ ~ ~ Everybody sing ~ ~ ~ "Bushy - the - wanker" *clap-clap - clap - clap-clap*
