Tomorrow is AFL Grand-Final day.... and the WestCoast Eagles have made it there - after a pretty stellar season! They play the Sydney Swans, who've not been in the Grand-final since 1936 or something ridiculous like that. Still, unfortunately for Sydney, we shall be victorious.... in fact, we shall WHIP their arses!!
Speaking of Sydney, I am off to Wollongong for a week on Sunday. Wollongong is about 60 miles (100 kms) south of Sydney. So I guess it's a chance to stop at my favourite book store (Darlinghurst book store in 'Gay-Sydney') and stock-up on all them books I can never find in sleepy Perth. I will be 'playing' with two other researchers from the "Building a Prototype for Quality Information Retrieval from the Internet" project, which is the imputous for the new web search engine we are building...... *yup.... NERD am I*
