saw green day last night @the uic pavillion. Dave and I didn't stay until the very end because we both had to get up early and the train ride took about an hour to get back home (we are old fogies). the blue line is really ghetto. i was a bit frightened, and we got asked (well, more like had to listen to some story in mumbled english for awhile) for money at least twice. It might sound rude and pompous, but if i'm not bothering anyone, i don't expect to be bothered either. I'm sorry these guys don't have any money, but maybe if they would just say that they need it to go buy some beer and do drugs I might actually just give them a buck- at least they would be honest about it.
anyway, green day were kick ass. billy joe is so hilarious to watch, and they sounded really awesome. The pyro effects were cool, but i think they started to lean toward making it a 4th of july extravaganza. as soon as i get done with my thesis work i am gonna practice the guitar and learn the bass too. Watching cool shows always makes me wish I could figure out a way to have enough time right now to play more. I still suck bad though.
On a completely random note, I spilled potato salad on my shoe today at lunch. My dad always says that when you end up wearing your food it means that it was really freakin' good. It's a way to look on the bright side of smelling like potatoes and mayo. :) hahahahaha! later homies!
