Seriously, Thursday was a waste. I had about an hour a sleep because of the allergy pills. Yippee. Insomnia! So I spent the day constantly about to fall asleep with bouts of mental clarity. My brain went out the window completely and I started a cosplay page on facebook. Saw an article about some horrible shows that the channel formally known as the Sci-Fi Channel plans to air in the future. *sigh*
I remember when it was a good channel with a good variety.
Now they are going to be insulting those who used to be their audience?

A show featuring people from different aspects of the so-called "Geek" culture by the people who did Jersey Shore? Bad idea. The show about cosplayers is worse. You know cosplayers are not going to be shown in a good light. We already have conformation that it features paid actors portraying over-dramatized cosplayers. There's probably going to be LOTS of divas & skimpy cosplay. And probably SEXY skimpy cosplay. Why? They want the "drama", the shock value, & face it, sex sells. Can't help but think with EVERYTHING going on in the cosplay community, this is going to make it WORSE. :/
Today, I was totally distracted by the news on Boston. This was after I finally woke up after finally falling asleep at 5:30 am. I slept for 5 hours. Not great but so much better than 1 hour. Guess I'll work on what I can over the weekend and organize what I can't so it'll be easier to do on Monday. *sigh* Really should of been working on it TODAY but...I was so afraid of missing something. If I was smart about it, I would of used the time to do some sewing. Ah well, hindsight.
I keep wondering about those who were going to take part in the Boston Comic Con. The con had no choice put to reschedule the event but what about those who had hotel reservations? Are they going to charged for their rooms that they might not of even been able to get to? Or are the hotels going to be nice (& smart) about & let them have some sort of open date for when the con is rescheduled? I hope for the later since it would be pretty good business move. How often is the nice thing also great for business? Yes, the hotel loses business this week, but they guarantee business in the future. If they are pricks, chances are the person will go to a different hotel or just not go because of bad feelings.
Off to get some tea so hopefully I can get some rest & not wake people up with a nasty coughing fit just about all night long this time. :)
