I'm really, REALLY pissed.
Never get in between me and books that I want to read--never.
I left my library card at ND--which shouldn't be a problem, since I often use my parent's card.
Except...
The librarian
1. Won't let me check out "new" books even though there are about 8 copies of them (because Lisle, not Naperville is my home library...and I'm at Naperville right now)
2. Claims that my card has expired (yes it did, last April...and I renewed it last summer)
3. Claims that I have a fine of 9.40 on my card--from books that were checked out 4 years ago (impossible--I can't check out books with a fine over $5, and I've used the library, on my own card extensively over the summer. Besides, I had to pay off my fines completely when I newed it, and one of those fines are from books returned before 2001)
4. Treated me like a 10-year-old child, constantly asking for my mother. I think I'm capable of dealing with little old ladies by myself, thank you very much
I asked for the books on hold (I had to wrestle the new books away from her) until tomorrow. I'll have to drag one of my parents in to borrow the books in their name--
