Rory came back from class and curled up on her floor, determined to eat cereal and watch Vanessa Saturn DVDs, and definitely not think.

Repressing how she was feeling about what Bridge had told her last night? Of course she was. What, are you new?

Aeryn takes some time to cool down after coming back from the gym, and finds herself knocking on Rory's door.

"It's open," Rory calls, pausing the DVD again.

Aeryn steps inside, closing the door behind her. "How are you doing?"

"Better," Rory says. "I'm not pregnant, for one thing."

Aeryn's not sure if that would be considered a good thing or a bad thing in Rory's eyes, so she goes with, "Must be a relief to know." Sometimes she can be diplomatic.

"It is. And I'm not doomed to die in nine months, so there's that," Rory says lightly.

She frowns. "That was a concern?"

[auroryborealis]

"Luke was raised by his aunt and uncle," she explains. "If I had been his mother, I would have kept him with me if I could have. But it's moot since I'm not."

"Then that's a very good thing," Aeryn says, relieved after the fact. "Um. What you said about us needing to talk about Ethics."

Rory nods, her expression hardening. "Do you know anything about the new teacher?"

"Tyler told me," she says with a nod. She'd seem calm if you didn't know her. "Same person?"

Rory nods again. "As far as I can tell. There are only like two Sith Lords at one time, anyway, and he told me he's one."

Aeryn stares at her. "He told you?"

"I met him," Rory says. "Before I met Luke. He's...scary."

There aren't many people Aeryn finds scary. "And I shouldn't shoot him, right?"

[auroryborealis]

"He wears a weird suit, with a helmet," Rory tells her. "I think he'd probably be able to deflect it. Or use the Force to strike back. They're very powerful and very scary. Luke says Darth Vader...got all the Jedi."
