Room 213 - NFB [evening]

Rory was really, really, really warm.

And even if she hadn't escaped the threat of running back to the dorms naked, she was seriously tempted to just strip down. As it was, she had spent the afternoon in as few clothes as possible with a fan on her as she lounged on the bed, reading

"Well, he kind of deserved then, huh?" Anakin said. "Not the servants, though."

"Maybe," Rory said, starting to rub his back. "Anyway, the only way to break the spell would be if he could learn to love and be loved in a certain amount of time. And see, it was complicated because part of his order of knights was that he wasn't allowed to love. So the girl didn't really care because she was still mad he was making her stay. The girl grew, over time, to really like the castle, though. She made friends with the coffeemaker and espresso machine, named Alex and Jake, and she'd have long talks with the television. Its name was Hamlet and it was very serious. She really preferred talking to all of them over the Ewok-dog man. She was stubborn that way."

"Well, he wasn't exactly being Mr. Personality," Anakin said. "He's kind of stupid."

"So the girl was kind of an idiot and tried to leave the castle, and she was shouting this sad speech over her shoulder at him, and a bunch of teal dear attacked her," Rory continued seriously.

"What did he do?" Anakin asked.

[auroryborealis]

"He saved her," Rory said a little dreamily. "And took her back to the castle with him. And so then she stayed with him, and he slowly started to fall in love with her. Sadly he was convinced it could never be mutual, 'cause...you know, dog-Ewok. He was wrong, though."

"Plus she was beautiful, right?" Anakin asked. "He knew he was way out of his depth, even without the restrictions of his order."

"Well, she didn't think so. She was kind of bookish," Rory said. "But anyway, so she was into him too, even though he was all...weird and animalish. And so their friendship progressed, and they both had very secret feelings...until one night, an angry mob descended on the castle. The girl's stepfather had told them what had happened, thinking he was going to rescue her. And they were led by this very formiddable but beautful woman, and a really nice doctor, a hot Mountie, and a very sweet and nigh-invulnerable man in blue."

"That's not good," Anakin said, looking concerned.

"No, not really. So the mob, being a mob, broke down the door and stormed the castle to rescue the girl, so she and the Ewok-doggie ran up to the roof to be safe. And some of the people in the mob got distracted. Like, there was a bearded man who ended up getting jumped by this girl who talked to her purse a lot, and there was a little punk girl with pink hair who decided she wanted to talk to the TV and hear its worldviews, and a boy with gloves who talked to the toaster while he made it dispense Tic-Tacs. However, the man in blue recognized that he wouldn't be able to reach them for awhile, so he threw soomething up to the roof to get to them. It was a teeny, tiny turtle!"

"I kissed a bearded guy," Anakin mumbled to Rory's lap, half-asleep. "Go flying turtle."

"You what?" Rory asked, stopping in the story.

[emo_padawan]

"Jaye made us," Anakin added.

[auroryborealis]

"Jaye made you kiss Obi-Wan and you're just now telling me?" Rory asked, upset.

Anakin sat up, confused. "It wasn't a big deal," he said. "I'd forgotten about it."

Rory pouted. "Were there pictures?"
