Rory had come back to her room late after spending the day in the snow and immediately hopped in the shower because hey, snow? Is cold. One would think the girl from Connecticut would know this.

Anakin gave her a wry smile. "Then they beat themselves up about it later."

"Exactly," she said, smiling. "See? Self-proclaimed good teacher."

"I think Obi-Wan would have a thing or two to say about that," he replied. "Once he caught his breath from laughing."

"Well, I think you're a great teacher," she said, kissing him. "I like to think my opinion counts for something."

"More than just something," Anakin said softly, kissing her again.

[auroryborealis]

"More than something?" she asked skeptically, resting her forehead to his.

[emo_padawan]

"There are only a few people in the universe that I actually pay attention to," Anakin admitted quietly. This wasn't something he was particularly proud of. "Your opinion about me...it means everything. I'd never want you to be disappointed in me."

Rory smiled. "You've never disappointed me."

Anakin gave her a soft smile, then leaned in to kiss her.

Rory tilted her face into the kiss, snuggling a little closer as she did so.

Anakin cupped her face between his hands and deepened the kiss.

It had been a long, long day.

She gave a soft, happy sigh, and lightly began winding his braid through her fingers.

Anakin echoed her happy sigh. "Love you," he whispered.

[auroryborealis]

"Love you too," she murmured, kissing him again.
