Rory, still not feeling too social, had gone through her closet after her Scoobying workshop. Not only had she organized everything to a slightly insane degree, and found the things she had promised to look for, but she had also found a pair of knitting needles and yarn that her great-grandmother had sent her awhile ago

"Perfect," Anakin said, smiling. "I mean, if you don't have sand cookies..."

Rory frowned.

"What?" Anakin asked, looking confused. "They're what I used to have growing up."

[auroryborealis]

Rory's frown melted a little. "Well, I don't know how to make them, sadly. I didn't make these, either, though."

"I'll show you sometime," Anakin said. "I'm not a great chef or anything--well, at all--but cookies are pretty easy." He grinned. "I'll even leave out the sand for you."

"We should leave the sand in so they're authentic," Rory said with authority.

Anakin smiled. "It's not actually in the recipe. Just that everything made on Tatooine ends up covered in sand eventually."

[auroryborealis]

"Well, some things get away and aren't terminally sandy," she said quietly, reaching over and smoothing his hair.

Anakin blushed.

Rory kissed him.

Anakin cupped Rory's face between his hands and kissed her back.

"Love you," he said softly.

"Love you too," she said softly, scooting closer.

"It's been a long day," Anakin murmured, resting his head against hers.

"You need to sleep," Rory said, running a hand over his hair and studying him.
