1. Do you make your own binding or purchase it?
[I make my own binding for everything except when there's a baby blankie that needs satin binding. Many times I add 1/2 yd or so into the project to make binding out of, and more than that if it's bias binding.]

2. Do you sew on your own binding or let the longarm machiner do it?
[I do it. Like many who've posted already, I use double fold and sew raw edges together by machne to the top of the quilt, then turn and hand stitch the binding to the back. I only take quilts to the longarm quilter if it needs quilting and is too big for my machine.]

3. Double fold binding or Single fold binding?
[Double fold, always. I just prefer the look of it and if I'm making my own, I might as well make it nice.]

4. Have you ever done strips/plaids on a bias binding?
[I did plaids on a bias binding. Turned out like I wanted it to. Was a scrappy homespun quilt for a friend, completely her style. Not something I'd ever do for myself. I'm not much into the country look.]

5. Have you ever made binding on a scallop edge?
[No, but then I haven't had much use for it either. I have no desire to make a DWR (double wedding ring) so I probably won't be doing scallops in the future. If I did, I'd pay extra just so I wouldn't have to fight with it. Binding is probably my least favorite part of quiltmaking.]
