Work is over-rated
Listening to Polka Dot dot dot from Oli(harmonies, harps, and patsy kline covers of delish)...just got back today w/ Emily, Kevinger to visit Val and see the Dodo's. Wonderful show in a gallery that Steve Wilson put on, hurrah- Kite was amazing as well, must remember their folky, homey tree music. Whisky, pita chips and hash are the perfect combo. Thanks Val for the amazing breakfast- Merrick got his blueberrys and I got those amazing potatoe pancakes...and I almost won over her dogs. It was cool to finally meet Logans girlfriend, I tried to open her up but I think she's shy..or something. So many good finds @ the Puyallup Value Village-Sweet hat, wrangler shirt and snow boots! The Dodo's playing w/ Le Savvy Fav tomorrow @ Neumos, they were gracious enough to put all of us there on the list. NICE!
My skins still sensitive from the Sunny Hawaiian Skies. What an amazing trip!! Amy was soo much fun to go with! We might have no end to our crazy ideas when together..flashing the ocean..ect...our adopted Kona Growler Baby full of free beer-woot! All the gecko's/plumaria/tropical birds and fruit trees were spectacular. I love Hiedi's affectionatly loud florida fam and Sasha's friendly funny Hawiian kin. It was great to stay at the house plantation house with all of them. The wedding was so chill it was awesome- Hiedi, Amy, her mom and I all got ready just before the ceremony & totally winged it. Amy & I brainstormed the toast over some Kona beer while waiting for the guests to arrive. I pulled it off w/ a few laughs and some cheers, so all was well(phew!)The snacking on Hawaiin fare(ribs, poi, coconut pudding, purple yams)and hot afternoon siesta's was so needed. I havent felt this healthy in months- I ran every morning, did some yoga and ate mass amounts of sushi and beer- the perfect vacation! Pictures just don't do Hawaii justice...so beautiful. sigh. Who needs work? I guess I'll go tomorrow just for fun(haha)
