To answer a previous post: they're showing off Teyla's breasts (dang, I never dressed like that when I was pregnant! Nor when I'm not), but they don't have to do anything to enhance them at this stage. (She might still have some of the effect in the early bits of next season, too. I wish I could have kept my bigger bra size--oh, sorry, TMI. :-) )
Yes! Aelf is thrilled! Honestly, Aelf would have been so happy to have any Carson back that she had already mentally composed a post on the reasons why her stories "Haar" and "The Unrelenting Past" still work even if we had a clone Carson for s3, but she is glad not to have to type it all. She is too busy squeeing all over (and writing about herself in the third person).
I thought everyone would nitpick the episode to death, so I pre-emptively nitpicked and then said why these problem don't really matter in the overall scheme, and hardly anyone's nitpicking!
I'm just so happy to have Carson back, and Carson and Rodney together! And Carson and Jennifer! And Carson and Ronon! (Gentle hug from the big guy, who looked like he was worried about breaking our poor doc.) Poor Teyla sees Carson only briefly, hears he's a clone (and apparently unwell), and is dragged away wondering what the heck happened! Even Sheppard can't hold onto his suspicions too long (loved that scene in the gear-up room, but not nearly as much as the Rodney and Carson scenes). Even Sam and Carson! (Tempted to write missing scenes for Radek and Carson, Lorne and Carson--yes, yes, I know I have SG-1 stories to work on.)
I was fully prepared for disappointment, and I didn't feel it at all. I loved the episode. I will rewatch it (note to self: make sure husband doesn't delete from TiVo before I have a chance!).
Yes, even this lovely episode does not atone for the exploding tumor (I think it was an abdominal tumor, though. Abominable tumor?).
