OMG A POST!   It's been awhile (as usual) since I've checked in with the flist so I thought I would say hello and discuss/diagnose my fangirl problem.

Let me see. I used to ship 10/Rose - unfortunately I found out the DT is a bit of an asshole and that completely killed my enjoyment of 10, because I can't seem to separate the actor from character at times (not so much JB though hmm)

Ianto/Jack (Torchwood) I am still pissed off with the whole Ianto dying

I have a dark heart pairing of Kara/Leoben - nuff said *massive eyerolls*

Kara/Helo (Pre-Mini) There is something about these two that as frak buddies and friends and possibly more rings right for me.

Samantha and Martouf (Stargate SG1) He dies ... at her hands. Yep she shots him with her ray gun and earns herself the title of a black widow!

Buffy and Spike - He dies saving the world (again)

Buffy and Angel - He is killed by her at the end of season 2, returns and then dumps her, but still wants in, in season 7 yup yup.

McKay/Weir - Stargate Atlantis another one where someone dies - I have luck and form here!

Conclusion

I am a multishipper, I am a OTP'er of many OTP's and I still write most of these pairings let alone read them! I love them, I feel for them, I keep writing fixes for those where the character died. I still have strong bitchslap feelings about a couple and there will never be resolution for Buffy and whomever (except Riley cause that was a puppy that should have been sent to the pound.) Seriously, you ain't cheating, and OTP slut, perhaps, cheat oh no. Heck I say it is Poly-OTP'ing so long as everyone knows in the OTP, it's all good ;)

And I just had a realization. Most of my OTP's have ended cause someone DIED, how sad is this?

Oh wow, I think I ship Ten/Rose harder because of all the amazing things I've read about DT and BP. I really haven't read anything negative about either one of them. I see story after story about how lovely they are with the people they work with and have always been extremely generous with the fans (especially DT). I will admit I fangirl him pretty hard (he's approaching Bamber like love for me) so I'm genuinely shocked to see something negative about him. I know he's a very private person regarding his personal life and fiercely protective of that part of his life which kind of makes me love him more, much like Jamie. You've thrown me for a loop! *sticks fingers in ears* lalalala I can't hear you! :P

I've always been a shipper, there isn't one show I've watched probably in 20 years that I haven't shipped two people at some point. That's how I see characters, I always have to match them up somehow. Total sucker for romance! I was just truly surprised at feeling all the feels for another couple. I thought after 5 years of hardcore pilot shipping that they were going to be it. It's both and good and bad to be wrong!

I'm not a multishipper, I tend to pick two characters together and go all in. I find it very hard to picture them with anyone else but that's me. I know people are very big into multi-shipping because they love one of the pair more than the other which is totally ok, I'm just not wired that way.
