it's a blogging world

My brother is in Japan now, in Miyagi prefecture which is where I was, though not the same city. He has a blog which he's using as a diary of his time there and has posted the first 12 days already. Very interesting read, it really transported me back to the place, it sounded so familiar! I had to remind myself I'm no longer there. I kinda wish I'd done something like that but I didn't really know about blogging at the time! It was the most I could manage simply emailing people once a week.

So now the only people in my family who don't have blogs are Dad and my sister Renee! Talk about a blogging family! Mum has a blogspot and a LiveJournal, Fer has a blogspot as well as a quilting blog, Tara has a blogspot and god knows what else, and now Ramon has a blogspot too! Am starting to feel a little bit like an underachiever again! But at least it makes me feel a little less like I'm on the far side of the world.

I'm wondering if I should record some of my experiences in Japan here, for posterity or something? My memory gets pretty dodgy after a while, so it might be nice as an aid, y'know, 'cause I forget things after a while. But I don't know if it'd be interesting. Maybe with some scanned photos... Dunno. I'll have a think.

Am getting addicted to black cherry danishes.

Edit: I thought this article was interesting, as we were talking about the Olympics and China etc.

olympics, family, daily life
