Hum hum.
I did some costume related things yesterday. I dropped in at Villisilkki, a superb silk fabric store, and asked about their silk velvet selection. They have one green fabric that would work for the green robe quite well, it is just maybe a little bit too light colour and maybe too thin. But I have to line it anyway and with lining it think it would work just well. It cost 75 euros per metre. It is not completely impossible since I am working nowadays, but still, I would need several metres of it. And I have to save money for my trip to China next August. Bah. We'll see. I also had first class of workers' institute's card weaving course and it seemed very interesting. No I have a burning desire to star a new braid.
And then we had our school's ball. It was fun. I had nothing to wear so I used my women's black tailcoat, black trousers, black shirt and black leather gloves and did look quite handsome. For a girl.
