Here are the things I made last year:
My 14th century cotehardie for our school ball.
It is made of 5 metres of purple thai silk with 50 golden buttons and about 1,5 metres of golden braid. I used
this pattern, but modified the neckline in order to reveal my shoulders. I also had to change the sleeve pattern, because the original just didn't fit. The belt is borrowed from my friend. I also made a cute little pouch and my mom covered a pair of leathershoes with the same fabric as used on the dress. But they don't show in the picture.
The other thing I made was
a 1770's men's rococo costume for our school's Halloween masquerade. In the picture I am with my friend Petra, who has made herself a grey costume from a little bit earlier period.
For the coat and breeches I used green wool and lined them with linen, and for the waistcoat I used dark green patterned velvet, which I also lined with linen. The undershirt is so horrible, done with a great haste and of unauthentic materials, that I have to redo it sometime.
Some things I would like to, or have to do this year:
- Undershirt for the rococo costume
- ROTS Padme green robe
- black silk corset
- Christine's nightgown or the Don Juan costume from tPotO movie
- Japanese gi for my boyfriend
- Japanese kimono for my boyfriend
Ah, we'll see...
