Chapter Six

A few weeks had passed since that night, and Donghae could safely say he liked the idea of loving Kyuhyun. Really, the boy wasn’t that bad. He’s just incredibly cold to people he doesn’t know. He basically lived with Kyuhyun now, only going back to his house every now and then. Every moment he’d spend with Kyuhyun, he’d slowly forget more of Hyukjae. Kyuhyun cared about him, made him feel wanted. And every night they’d spend together, he’d wake up with Kyuhyun beside him.  But, there was also the fact that Donghae often felt sick and weak anymore. It really worried Kyuhyun, even though Donghae would just shake it off.

However, today was Saturday, and Kyuhyun had a meeting in the morning. Donghae mainly just lounged around and watched movies all day. At least he had some time to think about some things. The first was whether or not he should ask Kyuhyun to come home with him next month to meet his mother and hyung. The second was how serious they were getting. Kyuhyun often told Donghae that he loved him, but Donghae couldn’t say the same. How could he, when the last time he said it to someone, he got crushed? But, he couldn’t explain why Kyuhyun made him so happy anytime he heard the boy’s voice. He got caught up in his mind’s wandering, until he heard the door open. Kyuhyun stormed in and threw his stuff down. He walked over and sat down beside Donghae, who was lying on his back, staring at the ceiling. There was no, ‘hello!’ or ‘how’d it go?’, nothing. Kyuhyun glanced at Donghae for a moment, and he had to admit, the boy looked rather adorable. He smiled to himself, mood immediately lifting. “Donghae~” Kyuhyun cooed, reaching out to brush the hair out of Donghae’s face. Donghae finally snapped out of it and sat up, smiling. “You’re home.” He stated, sounding relieved. Kyuhyun nodded, confused at the boy’s randomness. “There’s some stuff I’ve been thinking about. I wanna talk to you.” Donghae said, his cheeks turning a light red. “Well…?” Kyuhyun asked, after a few minutes of silence. Donghae was fidgeting with his fingers, just like a little kid. “I… uhm… I have to go home… back to Mokpo in a few weeks.” Donghae stuttered, whispering now. “For my brother’s wedding… and… I was wondering if you, uhm… want to come too…?” He finally spat out. He waited a moment before glancing up to see Kyuhyun’s reaction. He was relieved to see Kyuhyun smiling at him. “What?” Donghae pouted. Kyuhyun only laughed. “You’re so cute, Hae.” He whispered, kissing the other on the nose. “So you don’t wanna go?!?” Donghae squeaked, pouting again. “Well~ Since you’ve asked so nicely…” Kyuhyun mocked, making Donghae’s pout grow, “I’m kidding, Hae. I love you. Of course I’ll go.” At this, Donghae smiled, clobbering Kyuhyun in kisses.

“That leads me to the next thing…” Donghae trailed off, departing his mouth from Kyuhyun’s. He was now sitting on top of Kyuhyun, smiling madly. “Cho Kyuhyun, I-I love you.” He blurted out, making Kyuhyun beam. It was the first time Kyuhyun heard those words. Donghae leaned down and kissed Kyuhyun, slowly and passionately. Kyuhyun kissed him back, getting lost, almost completely forgetting about his terrible morning. They broke apart, and only then did he process how much it probably took for Donghae to say that, and how special it actually was. He stared at Donghae for a moment; the said boy was biting his lip, trying to look anywhere but at Kyuhyun. “Come on.” He whispered, hoisting himself from the couch, and dragging Donghae behind him.

The moment he closed his bedroom door, Donghae pressed his body against the other’s and attached their lips. This time, the kiss was needy and sloppy. Donghae slid his hands down Kyuhyun’s chest until he reached the bottom of his shirt, running his hands under it. Kyuhyun moaned at the touches and pulled away, taking his shirt off already. Kyuhyun backed Donghae up until the other fell onto the bed, Kyuhyun climbing over him. He quickly got rid of the other’s shirt, latching his mouth to Donghae’s neck. Donghae curled his fingers at the top of Kyuhyun’s pants, tugging to bring them closer, grinding their hips together. Kyuhyun let out a rather loud moan, making Donghae smirk a little. He’d had enough, so he flipped their positions and rid them of the last of their clothing. There would be no regrets this time. Kyuhyun saw stars with every thrust Donghae made, making him a complete and total moaning mess. And, again, it proved to be too much, coming all over the both of them. Donghae came not too much longer. He pulled out of Kyuhyun and sprawled out beside him. This time, he looked over and saw the boy he was sure he loved now. He didn’t feel bad about it; he didn’t have any sudden memories of Hyukjae. He wrapped his arms around Kyuhyun’s waist, snuggling into his chest. “Kyu, I love you so much.” He mumbled. Kyuhyun kissed Donghae’s forehead. “I love yo-“

Kyuhyun couldn’t finish his sentence, because he heard the door to his apartment open and his dad’s angry voice. “KYUHYUN! CHO KYUHYUN! GET YOU ASS OUT HERE!” The old man screamed. Kyuhyun looked at Donghae and smiled, thinking, ‘maybe if I stay in here, he will leave.’ That wasn’t the case. The moment the bedroom door swung open, Kyuhyun immediately regretted not having enough sense to lock it. His father looked at the scene laid out in front of him. “What the hell is this?” He muttered, glaring at Kyuhyun, then Donghae, then back to Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun made no reaction, though. He wasn’t afraid. “I dunno. What does it look like to you?” He mocked his father, leaning over and kissing Donghae full out on the lips. “What did I tell you, boy?” His dad grumbled, his face turning red from anger. “I told you that there isn’t such thing as love. And with another fucking man? What kind of sick child have you become?” Kyuhyun kept his cool, although he saddened at the thought of Donghae having to hear this. “You go behind my back, dating some slut, then you completely wreck my business at your meeting today, and now you’re a fucking fag?!” He screamed. “Well, if this is the way you want to live, don’t you ever call me your father again.” The old man slammed the door and left the apartment. Kyuhyun swallowed the lump in his throat. It wasn’t put there by his dad, because he honestly didn’t give a fuck. It was because he could see Donghae’s eyes welling up with tears. “Hae, please don’t cry. He’s an asshole, and I’ll gladly never call him father again. I love you, Donghae. That’s all the matters.” Donghae quickly wiped his tears, nodding his head. “What do you say we leave for your home a few weeks early?” Kyuhyun suggested, smiling as if nothing just happened. Donghae’s eyes lit up. “Really!?” He asked, his mood chearing up almost instantly. Kyuhyun nodded. “We can leave tomorrow if you want.”
