Chapter Five

Donghae came back a few hours later, with two bags of stuff he called, ‘necessities’. Anyhow, within those few hours, Kyuhyun had enough time to put into perspective what was happening with himself. He truly did believe that he loved Donghae, and since he was his first love, he wasn’t going to let things slide. Kyuhyun had been waiting for Donghae to return, watching the sun set over the city out the glass wall. So, the moment the boy came through the door, Kyuhyun ran to him and pulled him by his arm to his bedroom, making Donghae drop all of his stuff in the process. “Kyuhyun, w-hat are y-“ Donghae began to question the strange behavior, but only got even more confused as Kyuhyun closed the door, threw Donghae onto his bed, and kissed him. Now, it wasn’t a violent, ‘eat your face’ kind of kiss. It was a short, innocent, and sweet little kiss. “Wha-“ Donghae tried to process what had just happened within the two seconds he had been in the apartment. Kyuhyun only smiled at him, still hovering above him. “Donghae, I think I’m in love.” He whispered. Donghae sat up, making Kyuhyun nearly fall off of him. “Well, that’s lovely and all, just don’t practice kissing on me.” Donghae joked, walking towards the door. Kyuhyun pouted and grabbed his hand. “With you, Donghae. I’m in love with you.” Hearing those words again, it made Donghae freeze in his spot.

“No, you don’t.” Donghae said, not looking back at the boy who’d just confessed. “Yes, I do.” Kyuhyun pleaded. “Don’t be stupid, Kyuhyun. It takes more than three days to fall in love with someone. Besides, I’d never fit in your life.” Donghae said, turning to face Kyuhyun now, who was shaking his head. “Is it better if I say I like you?” He asked, hoping for a positive answer. Donghae shrugged. “Why?” was the only thing he could think of. Kyuhyun pulled him back over to the bed and sat down. “You’re so different, Donghae. You’re the complete opposite of what I am.” He blurted out. Donghae laughed, almost coldly. “Exactly! Which is why you need to be with someone else who’s rich, so you can be even richer and talk about how rich you are.” He rambled on, losing track of what he was saying as he felt familiar tears building up. Kyuhyun patted the boy’s hair a few times. “No, I need you.” Kyuhyun whispered. “I need you, because you’re changing me, Donghae.” Donghae remained silent for a few moments, thinking about how no one in his life had ever told him that they needed him. Not his family, not Hyukjae, not his friends back in college. Yet, here sits Kyuhyun, the boy he’d only known for three days, claiming that he needed him. He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He felt happy at the word. “I need you.” He replayed them in his head, and before he even knew it, he was kissing Kyuhyun.

Soon enough, Kyuhyun found himself wrapping his arms around Donghae’s neck, bringing them closer. Donghae pushed him back onto the bed, not breaking the kiss. Tongues were wrestling, teeth were clanking, and saliva was dripping. Kyuhyun ran his hands under Donghae’s shirt, and over the smooth, perfect skin of his chest. Donghae broke away from the kiss and disposed of his shirt. He began ridded Kyuhyun of his, when Kyuhyun stopped him. “Donghae… I-I… I’ve never…” Kyuhyun whispered, as if people could hear them, his voice a little shaky. Donghae smiled at him. “Don’t be afraid. If you don’t want to, we won’t.” Donghae whispered, leaning down, into his ear. Kyuhyun shivered at the feeling of warm breath on his ear. “I-it’s not… I want to.” He stuttered, feeling his face run red. Donghae smiled at the sight of Kyuhyun blushing. “Oh, look at you! Blushing and such! So cute~” Donghae gloated, kissing Kyuhyun on his nose. He then led his lips back to Kyuhyun, engaging in another heated kiss. Kyuhyun moaned into the kiss, arching his back, also grinding his hips into Donghae, which, in turn, let out a strangled moan in response.

Everything happened so fast, and the next thing Kyuhyun knew, Donghae was thrusting into him. Yeah, it hurt, but Kyuhyun didn’t care. He felt loved, and there was no way he’d be letting go of Donghae now. After all was said and done, and Donghae’s head was finally cleared of lust, he took in the sight of Kyuhyun, lying next to him. “What the hell did I just do?” he thought to himself, immediately filling with regret. He shouldn’t have done it. He didn’t love Kyuhyun. Yes, he definitely didn’t hate him anymore, since the boy had recently shown a drastic change of heart for him. But… his mind reflected to all the times he was with Hyukjae. He didn’t even realize it, but tears were streaming down his face. “Donghae, yah, why are you crying?” Kyuhyun asked, pulling him into a hug, concern in his voice. Donghae shook his head against Kyuhyun’s chest. “Nothing.” He mumbled. Kyuhyun pulled him away and looked straight into his eyes. “I think it’s time you tell me why you cry all the time.” He pleaded, his voice serious.

Donghae took a deep breath. “Hyukjae…” He started, but found he couldn’t even get past saying his name. “Old boyfriend…?” Kyuhyun added, trying to play guess with Donghae, who only nodded in response. He gathered himself quickly. “I… I fell in love with him, and he t-told me he fell in love with m-me too.” Donghae continued, voice a bit shaky. Kyuhyun was running his fingers through the soft, brown locks of hair. “But… he’d always leave me for weeks… even months, sometimes. Then he’d come back for a day or two, claiming how much he loved me, and leave again.” Donghae sobbed, losing his control. Kyuhyun pulled him closer. “Shhh. It’s okay, Hae.” Kyuhyun whispered. “I-I didn’t even do anything wrong.” Donghae cried. Kyuhyun felt really angry, not with Donghae, with this Hyukjae guy. So this is why Donghae was so broken? “No. No, you didn’t.” Kyuhyun comforted him. They stayed like this for a while, until Donghae had calmed down. “You know, Kyuhyun…” Donghae mumbled, nearly falling asleep now. Kyuhyun was equally as tired. “Hmm?” He mumbled back. “You’re different. I like you.” Donghae whispered, before drifting off to sleep for good. Kyuhyun fell asleep after hearing this, a huge grin plastered to his face. He had a chance.
