I was clearing out some old things yesterday and found some of my old latin stuff. I keep re-reading all about Verres' various art crimes and shenanigans with Rubrius and Philodamus (and boiling water). Sometimes I miss Cicero.

Finally watched Tinker Tailor. Absolutely loved it. Waited for what seemed like millenia to get a five second glimpse of ( Read more... )

Tinker Tailor was so flawless. I'M ALL :DDDD ABOUT IT because most movies just disappoint me these days. And for some reason I think blond Cumberbatch is the best.
I have Schmincke watercolours but my Prussian Blue is from W&N. Nothing like the feeling of breaking them in xD

Incredibly flawless, Gary Oldman can do no wrong in my eyes, and that scene when Guillam sits alone at his house crying after telling his boyfriend to leave to the ending scene. So very brilliant. Idk I prefer dark Cumberbatch but blond Cumberbatch is growing on me.

Aren't colours the best? I physically have to tear myself away from art shops. SO MANY COLOURS, SALTY - THEY CALL TO ME. It's like that mannequin scene from Confessions of a Shopaholic - except it's the paint tubes that speak. They want to be mine. XD

yeeees that scene omg Q_Q well, the dark look fits him better because it's his actual colouring but I liked the freshness of it, it helped me see his role instead of 'hey it's Cumberbatch!'
BUT WHY ARE THEY SO EXPENSIVE TELL MEEEE

I thought Cumberbatch was a natural ginger? He dyed it for Sherlock I think. He generally has blond hair. I may be woefully wrong ):

I totally agree on the freshness front (sideburns XD), he's such an amazing actor, his roles never seem to blur, he somehow manages to change everything about himself, the way he sounds, his smile, everything. Have you ever seen Hawking? It's particularly brilliant, you'd never guess it was same person who plays Sherlock, or Peter Guillam.

OH MY GOD, SO EXPENSIVE. My new colours are a birthday present I was saving up until I couldn't any longer... I generally buy the cheapo paints. WHY GOD WHY ARE THE PRETTEH THINGS ALWAYS SO EXPENSIVE?! It's like the art companies don't wait me to paint or something.... DDDD:

LOL REALLY? I've just always seen him with dark hair! *researches*
“It’s been dyed quite a bit darker. I’m auburn and that’s just not right for Sherlock. He’s a creature of the night. He’s got a dark, sociopathic side to him. The archetypal image of him is that he’s a slick-looking, dark-haired gentleman with aquiline features. The first thing my mum said when I mentioned to her that I’d got the part was “You don’t have the right nose.”“
I'm loling because those were exactly my thoughts re him splaying Holmes. xDDD

No I haven't seen Hawking!

I WISH I JUST DIDN'T NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHEAPO AND QUALITY MATERIAL SBUT ONCE YOU GO EXPENSIVE YOU CAN NEVER GO BACK

He really doesn't have the right nose, does he? But somehow he seems just to *be* that role so well that all is forgiven.

You should! It's all on youtube!

Ugh GOD I KNOW, I KNOWWWWW EXPENSIVE COLOURS JUST HAVE THAT DEPTH AND WONDERFUL SOMETHING EXTRA. BUT WHY SO EXPENSIVE? WHYYYYY

oh man I just discovered them! (let me revel in my n00b moment, okay?)
Paying for pixels is just silliness, but this way is lots of fun! LJ should really venture into the world of sharing is caring more often that demanding payment for absolutely everything.
