Harry Potter, The Boy who Lived, Come to Die

IT WAS SUBLIME.

Just as Part 1, the movie was beautifully shot. This time, rather than the sweeping shots of the Forest of Dean and the coast, the camera lingered on the characters more, and rightly so, the emotional quotient was always going to be higher for this last part.

The film strayed from the books in places but never for too long and not in ways that weren't enjoyable.

Of all the brilliant things in the latter chapters of The Deathly Hallows, I was looking forward most to Snape's story the most. It was perfectly handled, the moment where he asks Harry to look at him as he dies, was very very well acted and very well shot too. Snape's memories were a joy to watch, the childhood memories were almost whimsical with these beautiful bright colours, such a contrast to the rest of the film, the darkness seeped in as the memories progressed. There were flashes of previous movies, which were beautifully dealt with, seeing The Trio's cute little faces from the Philosopher's really brought home how they, the films and us, the audience have grown up together.

Random favourites:

- Neville was particularly magnificent
-FREDDDDDDDDDDDDIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-REMUS AND TONKS  OMGGG
-Molly being totally awesome
-Maggie Smith, equal amounts lovable, badass and hilarious
-The King's Cross scene with Dumbledore was particularly well done, (apart from close up on Harry's eyes, which irk me on end every time because his eyes are BLUE dammit)
- The shot of them standing admist the rubble of Hogwarts. It looked so bleak and remote in those shots but magnificent and imposing nevertheless.

Which brings me to the '19 years later' for which there there are no words except for awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Some characters were left out but regardless I way crying by the time Hermione waved goodbye.
