Quick update:

Baby has been keeping me pretty tied up, so I'm sorry that I haven't been on much.  Granted, having the internet at home would make this easier and I'd probably post all the time when she's sleeping.  I just hate moving a sleeping baby just so I can get my internet jones.

I'm no longer watching my nephew.  You probably figured that out since I didn't post again.  Turns out the aunt that was watching him (and then had gotten a job) quit her job after one day, so she took over again.  No worries here...getting out the door by 6:30 am was TOUGH!

Ellie is doing great. She was 9lbs 3.5 oz at her last visit, got some shots, and is in the 10th percentile all around. The doctor said that most preemies aren't even in the 3rd percentile at this point, so she's catching up.  She's outgrown a lot of clothes, like her Gerber 0-3 months stuff, all her preemie stuff, and about 1/2 of her footie pajamas.  She sleeps ok, is eating all right, although the doctor did put her on Zantac to see if that would help cure her of her massive spit-ups.

The soaking wet sleeve on my shirt is proof that this hasn't worked yet.  Although, if spitting up a lot is the only thing we have to worry about with our preemie, I consider us really lucky.

Sean is doing a great job, although he's a pain in the ass when it comes to getting out of bed to take care of the baby. I don't think he realizes how much sleep he gets and how little I get.  I don't nap well, but since he goes to work and I don't, I get up with the baby all night long.  Occassionally, it IS all night long.  On average, though, I get about about 4-5 hours of sleep to his 6-8.  Then he wonders why I get grumpy on the weekends and why he doesn't get much sex.  I tried explaining to him that sleep is too precious to me at this point. He sometimes understands, but for some reason it takes me screaming into my pillow after a rough night for him to get his ass in gear. Everything else, he's great on.  This is really going to suck nwo that he has some shift work though...he has to work a few 3-11 shifts which means he'll come home around midnight and be around all morning.

Ellie IS starting to put more space between her bottles.  I stopped waking her up, even though the dr. didn't say to stop.  I'm letting HER decide when she's hungry now, since she seems to be gaining weight just fine.

Got her halloween costume.  It's a lobster.  Pictures will happen later.

I can't believe that she'll be 12 weeks old on Monday.  That's crazy.  She's made some fun advancements.  She smiles now, at people, not just when she farts.   She makes a weird little "ooh-ooh" sound that kind of sounds like a monkey.  She is starting to giggle, but hasn't quite gotten that yet.  She gave herself a hickey on her hand the other day when she realized that it'd be good to suck on, and now she is always sucking on it.  She's rolled over a few more times since 8/8, but still not for me.

In-laws are driving me nuts occasionally, but that's mostly due to me not having enough rest and being prickly.  That, and I WANT TO LIVE IN MY OWN HOUSE WITH THE INTERNET AND NO NOSY MIL CALLING ME 4-8 TIMES A DAY WITH STUPID QUESTIONS/COMMENTS.

One thing I am tired of is how EVERYONE in Sean's family seems to start off the conversations about my daughter with "How are her poops?"  Really.  There are more interesting things to discuss than my daughter's BMs.  His mom, particularly, freaks out when I say she had a loose one.  SHE'S A NEWBORN...they're all loose-ish!
