Lord Voldemort looked around the table at his motley crew of misfits, megalomaniacs, geniuses, traitors, and other sundry guests. They were all cloaked and masked as they should be, and he had been pleased by their initial arrival.
"Welcome," he said, breaking the silence that had hung over the table and its occupants since they had all settled into their seats. And speaking of hanging over the table... "I would like to begin by introducing you to our guest tonight. She will be more familiar to some than others. Come, Charity, greet your betters."
The woman bound above them started squealing into her gag and writhed against the ceiling, trying vainly to release herself from her current predicament.
"Miss Charity Burbage, Muggle Studies professor at Hogwarts. Tonight it is we who shall be teaching the lessons."
He turned to where the ever-faithful Bellatrix sat, anxiously awaiting his attentions. "Of course, we have had a few lessons taught recently. Our own Bellatrix taught Auror Mad-Eye Moody a lesson of the permanent kind. Excellent work, my most faithful devotee."
